Writer’s Strike

The Grammy Awards will be in full voice next month, with the striking writers guild agreeing Monday to allow its members to work on the show.

Oh come on now.  If you are going to do a strike, stop giving way to these awards shows (they do nothing at all for me) and either do a complete strike or stop striking completely.  There’s no telling what the writers get paid, and the worst part about their little strike is that they are effecting all of the other workers that are needed to make a show.  I saw one lady on the news that said that she doesn’t have the requirements that it would take to get another job, and until their strike is over, she would not be making anything and would be getting behind on payments.  Unions like this is the exact reason why companies like GM are going down.  They want more and more, and demand more and more, making it impossible for the companies they work for to compete.

  1. I feel sorry for the secretaries and all the other people that don’t make big salaries.

  2. Marsha - I feel sorry for those people as well. It’s not their decision to strike, yet they are directly affected by it.
