Work Parking

by Shane Holden – April 3, 2008

Maybe it’s just me, but I’ve always viewed parking and parking spots as a first come first serve type deal, excluding Handicap parking of course.  We have an upper lot and lower lot here at work, which is seriously no more than 100ft max difference between parking in the lower as opposed to the upper.

We come in this morning and begin to park in our usual spot that we always manage to get, just to get pointed down to the lower lot.  Apparently they are having a meeting downstairs and would rather have the guests get the good spots; good meaning way less chance of someone dooring your car.  I’m a car guy, so there’s nothing much more that bothers me as much as someone parking next to you to slam their door into the side of yours.  Anyways, as soon as I sit down to get started working, I get called and asked to move around back  Around back is the most likely place near work here where I’d expect someone to break into a car.  I’m not sure what the deal is but this just so rubs me the wrong way this morning.

Maybe I need a morning pick-me-up, a Coke :) lol

I pay 30 dollars a month to park in a parking garage that I might have to park in twice month.

Got something to say?! Go for it!
