Wii Fit has been out for a while now, but over the weekend I had my first chance to play it. From what I had seen of it before, it’s like they took Wii Sports and stepped it up. You start off by taking your Mii, which by the way now has arms attaching the hands to the body, and do some tests that calculate your balance, BMI, and weight. The whole game is based off of balance, posture, and goals centered around your BMI and improving all of those.
You never really realize how off your balance may be until you are standing on a platform and can see your center of balance move constantly.
They did a really good job incorporating these exercises in games as well. Games like tightrope walking, ski slalom, ski jumping, soccer, and some puzzle type games. Alot of the games require balance to score high, and scoring high and banking minutes played unlocks other games and exercises.
I think the game is really neat though. I ended up playing it for quite a few hours over the weekend and enjoyed it.

I received a wII fit at Christmas. It’s a lot of fun to play.
So, you played it for hours? Are your muscles sore now?
Does it really get a person into shape? It sounds intriguing. It it gets us to move around, instead of staying in front of the computer, like I am doing now, it must be a good thing!
Yep, I got carried away and played til late. I was a little sore the next morning! It definitely is a neat idea they came up with. I think it could help someone get into shape, assuming they played the game each day and did the daily test to graph out progress as it’s made.
