Chase and I drove down to Mobile, AL last night after work to do a job today. Before leaving work, I made the mistake of checking out Google Maps to just see what was around the job site. I turned on the optional pictures and saw the USS Alabama and I immediately starting timing out our trip to see if we would have time to stop and check it out. In order to fit it in, we worked until 2AM on Friday and woke up at 8:30AM to get an early start.
As luck would have it, after standing in line for 30 minutes in the 100°+ humidity filled heat of Mobile, the credit card processor was down when we finally got to the front of the line to buy our tour tickets. Once news that the processor was down, the long line disappeared quickly, which would have been awesome for anyone carrying cash. It seems cash is almost a rarity these days with everyone swiping their plastic, myself included.
Even without being able to take the self-guided tour, we were able see the enormity of the battleship from the fence, and see all of the planes and tanks while walking around the parking area.

Sorry, but the manual credit card machine still worked. Wish you had toured the Battleship, Aircraft Pavilion, and Submarine, but now you have a great reason to come back!!
Great pictures!!!!!!!!

Oh no! Sounds like we should have checked back after walking around outside taking a look at the tanks and planes. You’re absolutely right though, it’s a great reason to come back!
Thanks for the kind words and for stopping by! You have a very awesome park and can’t wait to visit again and make the tours!
