I see the convenience in text messages as well as the privacy they carry, especially if you are maybe at work or out with some people that you would rather not hear half of a conversation with someone else, but I think some texts are sometimes on the annoying side.
Those would be:
I’m not a huge texter right now, so that may be why I find some annoying. So I may grow accustomed to any of the above at some point in the future and not be annoyed when receiving them. Honestly, it really seems like, at least to me, that text messaging should have been the precursor to the phone call.

I don’t text at all, although I do Twitter. It seems rude to me when people talk on the phone OR text when they’re out with others. I’m kind of a “be where you are” person. Is that because I’m, um, over 30, or is it a legit complaint?
I think that’s definitely a legit complaint! I have it too
I’m not much of a talker on the phone anyways, so I always try to keep it short and sweet (as well as any texts I do), but if I’m out with others, I’m definitely where I am and not somewhere else via phone or texting.
