Tearing out in the morning about 7 or 8am for a 3 hour drive to Phenix City, Alabama. My brother and I have another job to do for our oldest brother while he is out of town on a trip. We actually went there on the 1st to do it, but there were alot of other people there doing their work, painting and electrical, and it just takes alot longer to work and try to stay out of others’ way. I’m hoping that since tomorrow is Sunday, there won’t be anyone there and we can get our part done w/o the hassel of working around people. It should take us about 8-10hrs to do it all and then head back. I’d rather be working tomorrow than being here at home with it rainy and gloomy out.
I’m just about all packed up and ready to get out of here in the morning. I’ve taken Monday-Wednesday off from work next week; not for a vacation (that would be nice btw), but to give my brother a hand again in catching up his work. We’re going to be spread from Atlanta to Chapel Hill, NC covering about 1100 miles roundtrip between the jobsites and 31 different jobs. The tasks will be just adding in a few new devices to their current security setups, so they should go rather quickly once we get familiar w/ the setup.
On another note, I’ve been looking at some of the photos I’ve taken here recently, and have decided that it’s about time to upgrade cameras. I’ve got my mind set on a new Nikon
I haven’t blogged in a few days because not too much is really happening. My brother and I finished up that Census project we were on, and so far have only got one back to be resubmitted after correcting a few things
We’ve been working outside for the past 3 days GPSing the utility poles, fire hydrants, crosswalk poles, water valves, and any other major thing along a road that is about 5 miles long in total. Included w/ all that stuff is also the edge of the asphault. So now that it is May and nice and warm out, I’m pretty burnt from the sun. You’d think I’d learn to remember the sunscreen
Tomorrow we are heading down to Watkinsville, Georgia to do another security install for my brother. It’s probably one of the better ways to spend a wet saturday..making some money
After we get off work at 5pm, me and Chase are heading down to Temple, GA, about 1.5 hrs away, to get started on a job for our oldest brother. We’ve got these security installs down pretty good. It used to take 10-12 hours for us to completely do the wire runs and mount all of the devices, but after doing them for quite some time over the last couple of years, we can do them in 8-9 hours. Practice helps lead to efficiency, and in our case that is true
We are looking at being back home at probably 3-4am on Saturday, which my parents aren’t in favor at all of us being out that late working and driving, but when duty calls you gotta do what you gotta do
Hatred paralyzes life; love releases it. Hatred confuses life; love harmonizes it. Hatred darkens life; love illuminates it.
