Next Best? No Such Thing.

by Shane Holden on February 7, 2012

I know politics at work is supposed to be a no-no, but I’ve really enjoyed educating everyone at my work about how the system really works and what freedom and liberty really are.

  • Co-worker: If Ron Paul doesn’t get the nomination, who would you suggest I vote for then?
  • Me: Well, honestly, if he doesn’t get the nomination, and you don’t write his name in, it doesn’t matter who you vote for.
  • Co-worker: Really though, there’s got to be a next best?
  • Me: Nope. All of the other candidates are the exact same. Out of all them, just pick the one that has the prettier face to you, and vote for him.

Iowa Caucus Tonight

I’m so excited and can’t wait to watch the results of the Iowa Caucus come in tonight! I’m just hoping there isn’t any fraud with counting the votes. Go Ron Paul!

Read: The Tea Party Goes To Washington

by Shane Holden on September 27, 2011

The Tea Party Goes To Washington by Rand Paul

The Tea Party gets alot of attacks from people that don’t understand what the movement stands for, especially from the Left.  It’s pretty easy to understand though, those that were sent to Washington from the Tea Party, were sent with the message that the people are sick and tired of all the wasteful spending that is driving up our national debt with these unfathomable yearly deficits.  This book is definitely worth reading if you are unsure what the Tea Party is really about, or if you find yourself being one of those people that blindly attack the movement.

Fox News GOP Debate – 9/22

by Shane Holden on September 23, 2011

As usual, I tuned into the debate last night. I think I laughed more during the debate than on the premier of the new season of Two and a Half Men. Primarily because of the media bias of giving Perry and Romney the most talk time is working against them in the way that they wish it wouldn’t. Unlike the other candidates, who usually stick to informing the people their stances on issues, Perry and Romney used their time to bash one another. I really don’t know which one came out of it it worse shape than entering between the two. And although he’s not my pick, it was nice to see that Fox News decided to let Gary Johnson participate. The fact that he was left out of the last debate is just another attempt of the media choosing our candidate for us. At one point Fox thought they had Ron Paul on the question regarding the border fences, but Paul came out swinging and knocked their attempt to discredit him out of the park.

Who Won Last Night’s Debate?

by Shane Holden on August 12, 2011

The poll below that Fox News had up shows who the country thought won the debate. With Fox News’ slogan being “Fair and Unbiased” you’d think they would refrain from being unfair and biased, but that of course never holds true to the mainstream media. Shortly after Ron Paul dominated their online poll for the winner of the debate, they simply removed it from their site (about an hour after it was up) and from what I’ve seen, have made no mention of it nor him winning the debate and poll. He only had 4.5 minutes to speak, yet he slaughtered the competitors in the poll. Not bad for a so called “long shot,” eh?

Walking The Talk

by Shane Holden on June 30, 2011

Ron Paul End of Quarter Push Donation
It’s quite a while until the 2012 elections, but like Ron Paul mentioned recently in a video, the money raised during this time is worth 5x that that’s raised towards the end.  So knowing that, I proudly made a donation towards Liberty today!  It’s time to beat the establishment!

Read: The Revolution, A Manifesto

by Shane Holden on June 30, 2011

The Revolution, A Manifesto by Ron Paul

I definitely recommend this book to anyone (so everyone) that enjoys the freedoms (even if they are ever decreasing) that we all have and anyone that would like to open their eyes to some of the truths that are always bent or portrayed falsely by our misleading media.

The events that we’re experiencing now, have been, and will be in the near future, are waking people up.  And I can only hope that between now and the 2012 elections, this awakening continues to spread at a pace that’s even greater than the greatness that it is today.  I encourage everyone to read up on the Federal Reserve, inflation, and our failed policies, both foreign and domestic, of the past century, and realize that we simply cannot continue on the path that we are with more and more empty promises and so called change.  The only change that we need now, is to limit the Government’s role in our lives and constrain it back down to it’s limited role as defined in the Constitution.

Last Night’s CNN Debate

by Shane Holden on June 14, 2011

The debate last night on CNN was pretty good, although there were quite a few aspects that I didn’t care for at all.  Mostly trying to limit the answers to 30 seconds.  For many of the questions, especially those of the economy and how to fix it, 30 seconds just isn’t enough.  You have to give some background information, and explain things that are basically a taboo on the mainstream news, such as the Federal Reserve, and our Monetary Policy.  For our Foreign Policy, 30 seconds just isn’t enough to explain why we have enemies in the Middle East now, and why exactly our Foreign Policy has been flawed for decades.

Another thing that I dislike about the debates, is how they give each candidate a different question.  Let’s ask one question, give each candidate 3-5 minutes to answer, and then move along to the next subject.  As well as wasting time on silly this-or-that questions.

America’s Last Chance

by Shane Holden on April 26, 2011

We’ve been speculating on it since the last election, but it looks like it’s finally official.  Ron Paul launched his Presidential Exploratory Committee today for 2012, and it looks like we the people have one last chance to save our great republic.  Ron Paul stands for the great principles our nation was founded on, and has always taken his Oath to defend the Constitution seriously; whereas our other elected officials and presidents clearly have not.

Whether you’re a Republican or Democrat doesn’t matter.  This next election has to be a vote for principle.  A vote for liberty.  A vote for real change—change away from big government, unconstitutional wars, and unsound monetary policy, and back to that limited role of government that the founders envisioned and originally set up.

Truth About 11/2

by Shane Holden on October 1, 2010

I posted this on Facebook in response to an entry by a page that I’m following.  Unsuprisingly, I’ve received quite a number of ‘likes’, which is encouraging to me that maybe while the public is mostly silent today, they may actually be seeing what is happening within our nation.

It doesn’t really matter which party wins. The core of both are the same, and the public is just distracted by the issues that each always promise they will fix. Each party make promises to fix issues, and creates others in return, even w/o fixing those they promise to. All while they allow our economy to crash, waste our taxpayer money invading and trying to police the world, and always expanding our government’s role in each and every one of our lives. Vote for those that still believe in the Constitution.
