The flooding that the southeast has experienced over the past few days made national headlines. Local schools were closed for a day or so, and I’ve heard about a few roads being washed out around here. But I think all the rain and rising water that we got wasn’t nearly as bad as other places, thankfully. It was crazy to hear that Six Flags in Atlanta was under water though, not to mention so many homes, roads, and buildings.

Having lived an hour or so from ATL my entire life, it’s wild that I’ve never actually been in down town before. Well, until a few days ago that is. Usually my ‘going to Atlanta’ means that I’ll be on I-75 driving through it.
We do not believe in ourselves until someone reveals that deep inside us something is valuable, worth listening to, worthy of our trust, sacred to our touch. Once we believe in ourselves we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight or any experience that reveals the human spirit.
