So great to be out of the office

Starting yesterday, and for the rest of the week I’m working out in the field.  It is so nice to get to spend the day outside rather than in front of the computer all day.  It’s a nice break on the eyes, and also will earn a little bit of extra dough by doing so.  The work car is taken by some co-workers, so if we wanted to go out we had to take our own ride. 

My work pays 44¢/mile for using your own vehicle when the work car is not available.  Being the car guy I am, and knowing what some of the roads are like where I’d be working, I hit up Enterprise and rented a car for 4 days to do the work.  Each day is going to be roughly 150 miles and the car costs ~$26/day.

It was soo worth renting the car to take, especially today.  We traveled down a road that was probably 5-7 miles long that was gravel.  The Chrysler Sebring that we are driving is covered, and I mean covered, in gravel dust and the tires are white.  No way would I have liked to have had to do that to my vehicle.
