A little while ago I received a memo for my “annual performance review” here at work. Which is kind of funny because I’ve been here 7+ years, and this is the first time I’ve seen such an item. I consider myself lucky for that, because I don’t really like paperwork, and especially rating myself on various subjects.
A quick glance over it leaves me to believe that the most weight of it will be from my supervisor’s responses, although mine obviously will bear some weight in it.
The topics at hand are:
I’m not really worried about it since I believe that if there were any problems, it would have been brought up already, and I don’t believe the finished products of my work could turn out any better than I make it already. I like to do things right — not just enough to get by with. I won’t be pulling a King of Queens type deal (the episode where he votes with his “system”), and putting 5/5 on all of them
but will rate myself as honestly as I see it.
Who knows, maybe I’ll be getting a raise

Wow, the first time after all those years? I think about half of those would make me nervous, but it sure seems you have a good sense of how you are doing.
Good luck! I hope you DO get a raise!
Muse – Yep, the first one ever. It didn’t take too long to do so we’ll see how it goes, lol. Many thanks Muse!!
