Today I was given a glimpse of the impression that I leave as a person through my actions and dialog. I do things daily, whether it’s just being friendly or maybe giving them a hand or something as little as holding the door. Not because I want to influence the impression I leave, but just because that’s the person I am.
This morning my brother and I met up with a local man to show us some specific grave sites in the local cemetery to GPS to finish up a project at work. We chitchatted while walking between the sites about everything like work, weather, motorcycles, etc. At one point he asked us what Church we went to. One of us responded with something like, “we don’t really have one that we go to.” He then replied with, “Really? I thought y’all would’ve since y’all seem like real nice guys.”
That felt really good to see that I’m viewed as that type of person from someone that I’ve only been around for about an hour or so.

Well, in my opinion, you do in pixels as well as in person!
What a nice story! I commend you for posting it. It’s interesting that the man thought you both must be church-goers, if you were THAT considerate!
Still, you embrace what many consider to be good values, and I see why he felt the way he did. Good for you!
Thanks Muse! That means a lot to me!
