Over the night the year changed from ’07 to ’08. Me, I don’t quite understand all of the excitement around the New Year Holiday. I think that’s because I’m not a drinker at all, and this day is nothing more really than for your coworkers to have a chance to work off any hang over that they have before going into work on Wednesday. I was hoping to see the new year start through the back of my eyelids, but as usual I couldn’t sleep. I swear I think some of our crazy neighbors were shooting guns last night along w/ all of the fireworks.
But really, why all the hype around a year changing? I mean just when I get good and used to writing down 2007, bam!, it’s time to start pulling the eraser out or scribbling through the date as I continue to write down 07 instead of 08. One good thing from it though, a day off from work
New Years Resolutions? I’ve never really had any, at least official ones. I know that most people’s go undone throughout the year as things are forgotten or things change. I’ve got a few in my mind that I’m going to try to keep myself to. A couple of those revolve around financial goals, so to keep them in check will require working for my brother or dad anytime they need it, along w/ any arbitrage or other deals that I can do. My others are just a few exercises to maybe get in better shape. All of which will be 50 pushups, 50 crunches, and 25 sit-ups each day. If I can get those to where it seems “easy,” then I may step it up a notch. Let’s see how sore I’ll be tmw
