A fresh pair of contacts make all the difference in the world on making things appear sharp and crisp like they should. I’m aweful on putting it off because it always seems like the time to change always comes when they feel perfectly comfortable. The saying “if it’s not broke don’t fix it” pretty much sums it up for me. Now if they are bothering me when it comes time, I don’t mind at all to change
I ended up changing mine out last night when one of mine started bothering me – like I had something in my eye. I figured instead of just sleeping it off, it would be a great reason to put some new ones in. Usually I am quick, and it takes me only a couple of minutes, and if I’m lucky there’s no taking one of them back out (sometimes time and time again) to wash it off because something might have gotten on it.
I don’t think you really notice how the crispness fades over the month lifespan of them. A fresh new pair sure makes you see that
It almost reminds me of the first time I ever wore them, ~10+ years ago, when I first realized how much I was missing in the small details of seeing clearly. I was very reluctant in wearing glasses for a few years until my eye doctor said that I was old enough to have contacts.
Perhaps I should have made a New Year’s Resolution to change them out on a more frequent and timely basis.

Oh, so you must wear extended-wear contacts, then. I’ve never tried those. I take mine out every night and put them back in in the morning. I figure that (usually) I don’t need to see while I’m asleep!
I can see well enough to get up and get a drink of water or whatever.
Hah! Fresh contacts = Fresh perspective!
I never liked wearing glasses, either, not so much because of vanity, but because they just bugged me, hanging onto my face like that, LOL.
Muse – Yep, I wear Bausch & Lomb (or maybe it’s Focus) Night & Day. You got a point there about not needing to see when your asleep
I could get up in the mornings without them, but I wouldn’t much like to have to bother with them each morning before work. Although it does feel great to sleep without them in sometimes
