Countless Sunflowers

by Shane Holden – August 22, 2009

This field of sunflowers is located south of Chatsworth on Old Highway 411, right where you make a left on Tails Creek Road to go to Ellijay.  We took a motorcycle ride out there today to shoot them.  There were still lots of them that hadn’t bloomed out yet, but the field was just awesome.  When we got there there was only one car of people taking pictures of them.  When we were leaving, there was probably 5 or 6 cars there checking them out.  Afterwords we rode down to Carter’s Dam and then down to the flood gates and snapped a few shots.

Hey, the sunflowers you mentioned are here! They’re great, as are the pics. They don’t grow where I live now, but I used to see them every year in Flagstaff, AZ. I think they are some of the biggest flowers!

Got something to say?! Go for it!
