I’m glad you came back to comment! You are certainly right about being able to understand things about each others background that others would not. They also have the opportunity to see each other develop into the person they become, from childhood to adulthood, in most cases. In my case, my brothers are also my closest friends. So looking out for each other, and keeping our good relationship intact means a lot to me

I read this a few days ago, Shane, and it really touched me. I was even too emotional to comment at the time, but I’m back! It sounds like you have an awesome family, and I think it’s wonderful that your care so much about maintaining these good relationships. There is no one quite like a sibling, as they understand things about your background that even a close friend would not.
