About Me

Short – 26 yrs old, one of the twins, figuring life out as I go, into road trips and traveling, photography, and anything fun. I don’t drink, smoke, or swear. Known for my love of sweet tea and Chick-fil-A. I’ve worked at the same place for 9 1/2 years now. I believe your word is your bond, and that’s all you have. Probably one of the few people that txts using proper punctuation and capitalization.

Long – As you can guess by the domain name, my name is Shane Holden.  I am currently a single 22 23 24 25 26 year old guy living in the “carpet capital of the world.”  Too bad it’s not known for something better than carpet, but could be worse I suppose.  Anyways, that’s Dalton, Georgia.

I try to keep busy between my full time job that I have now, working for my brother whenever he could use some help, taking road trips, riding motorcycles and four-wheelers, or doing a weekend project around the house.

Most of my old friends from High School have basically settled down now, got married and having kids.  So getting to hang out doesn’t really happen too often with all of that and different work schedules.  Hanging out and chilling like old times is great, but things and people both change.

I’m still trying to figure out what exactly I want to do w/ my life.  I’ve got a bucket list started that has all of the major things that I’d like to do at some point, and as they should, should expand as my goals expand.

Random Stuff:

— I am 6 minutes younger than my brother.
— Ask me where I’ll be in 5 years and I couldn’t even begin to tell you.
— I don’t drink, smoke, or swear.
— I went from Kindergarten through the entire 12th grade w/o missing a single day of school (13 straight years).
— I procrastinate much too often, but eventually all things get done.
— It annoys me when someone won’t say ‘thank you’. I see it as a sign of appreciation.
— I think waaay too much about everything.
— Although still learning, I’ve just recently got into photography, and am loving it!
— I can spot a Corvette coming like none other.
— I hate Captcha’s – super annoying.
— I dislike mandatory lunch hours.
— I often look up the lyrics to any songs that I like.

So why do I have a blog?

Well my job is in an office setting, so w/ waiting on work to come to me, needing a quick break, etc., I figured a blog would be a good way to pass some of this time.  Not to mention allowing me to collect my thoughts, keep up with things, share items that are funny, let others learn more about me, and maybe even have some witnesses of me finding my place in this crazy old world.

This is the home for keeping up with what I’ve done, what I want to do, things I find interesting, and most importantly — my thoughts, a small window to my soul.
