Today, Chase and I both took off work to use our Birthday Leave. Seeing as today is the 28th and it has to be used in the month of your birthday, it was use it or lose it. Unfortunately the plans that we had were blown all to pieces with the rain today, and especially the rain north of us. We were going to road trip to the National Corvette Museum up in Kentucky, but I guess we’ll be saving that for another day now. It’s not that it would be no fun with it raining, it would just be alot more fun if it weren’t.
the most greatest risk
is giving one’s heart away
I trust you with mine
Anger is not the problem; it’s the warning light. Anger is like the red warning light that comes on the dashboard of your car. Our error is that we tend to view the problem as the light rather than what it’s indicating. Even if we take the dashboard apart and replace the bulb, the problem is still there. It’s still red! Why? There’s something wrong with the car, not with the light.
This secondary emotion tells you something is wrong under the emotional hood, under the spiritual hood, or under the relational hood of your life. Most of us spend too much time trying to figure out how we can get rid of our anger when we should be asking ourselves, “What’s going on inside that’s making me angry?” To resolve your anger, you’ll need to identify the root reason for it

my heart is not there
in the place it’s always been
it’s now in your hands
I missed the actual 2 year date by a few days, but the count shouldn’t be too far off. Two years of listening to Last.fm while almost entirely at work has equated to scrobbling 45,179 songs total, or an average of 22,589 songs a year.
Here’s a look at the 8 artists that I’ve listened to the most over the past 2 years.
tucked inside my heart
is every beautiful smile

I have a feeling that the proposed, and what probably will end up being built, roundabout in Dalton will end up being a disaster. I’ve seen the plans for it, and can say that I honestly don’t believe that the people here are ready for such a large multi-laned roundabout. Some people have trouble navigating the small single-laned one in Ellijay, much less something of this scale. A roundabout at an off-ramp to the Interstate makes no sense at all to me. I just wonder if anyone has considered the potential economic loss that the restaurants on Exit 333 could face due to south-bound travelers bypassing the exit and waiting til Calhoun just to not have to deal with such a confusing roundabout exit. Especially travelers that are older, and find the task of traveling the Interstate itself a chore to do. Not to even mention a horrible time to be wasting millions of dollars on an intersection that may be crowded at times, but no where justifies spending such an amount of money on a potential flop with the local economy being what it is.

Few things in the world are more powerful than a positive push. A smile. A world of optimism and hope. A “you can do it” when things are tough.
